Reforming the Policy Process

To counter policy gridlock and partisanship in policy-making a number of proposals have been advanced. These range from ‘increasing’ democracy to allow for greater public input, to 'decreasing democracy’ with critical policy decisions left to experts.

In an online forum called Debating Europe, citizens put their views and questions to European Parliament MPs on the impact of lobbying on the political process.
