Toolkit to Build Global Democracy
The Building Global Democracy programme aims to research and advocate how ‘people power' can be organised to deal with global issues such as climate change, financial crises, human rights and internet communications.
The programme was launched in 2008 and brings together academics, civil society activists, journalists, and politicians from all regions around the globe.
Its website includes information resources as well as a wide range of academic and other research papers related to key research areas that are the focus of the programme.
These areas include how to rethink democracy for a global age, how to include marginalised groups in global politics and resource redistribution.
